I saw an unusually large work in the woods last night
Posted by u/unholycreekboi on r/allthingscrypts
I've been a lurker in this sub for a while, only recently I've had an experience that fits sharing.
I live in a small town in the region of Stillwater National Park. Yes, it's the park of that Simmons boy case back in the late 60's. I don't think this sighting has any connection, it has been 50 years and I saw a wolf and not an ape man thing.
Last night I was hiking back home, later than usual but I enjoy the quietness of the woods in the evening. I saw it by Ashgrove River, drinking from it. It noticed me, looked at me like it was more scared of me than I was of it.
I estimate: 4'3 in height, 6' in length sans tail. From the looks of it, could be 200lbs if it wasn't malnourished.
It has dark grey fur, matted at some places, missing in many others. Its left ear had a large chunk of it missing, along with a scar that ran down its muzzle. Its eyes looked forest green, not a wild animal but not a human either. When it turned to leave, I saw scars running its left flank, and it limped but I'm not sure which leg was injured.
Is it a lost wolf or a shifter?
Comments:
u/suspiciouslurker: I live in a town nearby Stillwater too, there was military activity around six months ago. That's an experiment gone wrong.
Response by u/queernfurry: My partner lives in a town nearby Stillwater too, they say they remember activity in early 2018. Every few months a small squad comes to camp at the park, wildness training. But this time, around five week in, the abnormal activity came through. Trucks, a helicopter or two, search and rescue officers flooded the region. I don't know if it's an experiment or something, but I don't think those kids came out of the woods in one piece.
response by u/truecrimepsycho: Military pals had been saying that they're on Stillwater because it's a vast are, wild and good for training. Sure, all my survivor training was done in Stillwater woods. But what we don't talk about? Military only started to be interested in the area post the Barham lodge "incident". Witnesses reported seeing half-wolf, half-man creatures. That's not a coincidence.
u/lukewarmomega: they're integrating werecreatures, you saw a soldier that went rogue. I bet the military covered up a wolf eating their whole squad.
response by suspiciouslurker: they should keep those mutts out of human society.
response by u/lukewarmomega: they should keep people out of combat situations.
u/feralboytoy: I'm more worried about how this wolf got hurt like that than anything else.
response by u/knottyboi: YES! I'm a werewolf, even if I'm not large or too strong, I'm still an apex predator.
response by u/feralboytoy: Who knows what kind of monster lurks on creepy mountain forests.
u/90sdoggy: don't approach it, if it's a shifter, it's feral.
u/resoonse by unholycreekboi: I think she'd die of fright if I got closer than 20 feet from her.
u/knottyboi: Six months ago my best friend was KIA on a mission, we had been told he was in a scouting mission up in Stillwater National Park. My friend's last call home had him saying his "paw mate" Have you heard of the legends about the skeletal creatures roaming these lands?
Response by u/unholycreekboi: First, sorry about your loss! Second, yes, I heard. I'll dig around.
