Mackenzie groaned. Blood filled her mouth with the familiar taste of copper. Each step was less steady, she couldn’t quite feel her body below the waist. Mackenzie knew it was blood loss and iron poisoning; she had walked better than this as a fucking toddler.
Mackenzie wasn’t far from Jace’ place, she was far away enough to feel like she would pass out long before she reached him. But she’d refuse to, she was stronger than that.
Jace would be quite annoyed with the amount of blood, but would e worse if she needed to be actually rescued.
